We met Hip Kitty at Fan Fair 2000, when they were know by another name. While
setting up a booth on Sunday, the day before Fan Fair started, both of us saw their booth
and thought to ourselves, "We've never heard of them before, but they look like
a cool group." On Monday, we saw them handing out Marti Gras/Gasparilla beaded
necklaces, and was totally curious about what
they were for. Both of us were working at a booth diagonally across from
their booth. Kimmy went to introduce herself to Renate, Jeff and Helga
first while I stayed and watched the booth. Then I introduced myself to
them after my sister. Although Jeff did think that I was my sister, found out immediately that I was
the other one. :-) Well, little did
we know that going over and introducing
myself to Jeff, Renate, and Helga would lead to an amazing friendship and a
whole lot of fun in the process.
Kimmy and I met the band of Hip Kitty on the second day of Fan Fair 2000.
After meeting them for the first time, there was something that told both of us that
this was going to be a lasting friendship. Little did we know how
much. We are like family. Renate, Jeff, and Helga are like foster
parents or what we would say, "the other parents that God didn't give
me." The band is just like the brothers and sister we never ever had. Someone
said, "that the friends you have in life are the brothers and sisters that
God didn't give you." Both, Kimmy and I truly believe that to the fullest. Ever since
we met all of them
including their Manager Renate, and fan club presidents Jeff and Helga, they have
changed our lives. You think a lifetime friendship should take a long time
to develop, think again. It only took three days for us to get to know all
of them and now they are just like family to us. We love them all so much and
as each day passes by we miss them so much.

Kimmy and I think all of
you are GREAT and we thank God everyday for your individual friendship
that we both believe is a God send. God has really blessed us with your
friendship as well as an adopted family. You are all AWESOME!!! The
whole Hip Kitty Band, you are all definitely the brothers and sister we always wanted.
Jeff, Renate, and Helga you've all adopted us and have become foster parents to
us. Kimmy and I thank you for that. :-)
But who would
have ever thought that we befriended such a wonderful family and circle of
friends. :-) You are always in our heart and in our prayers daily.
